Memphis Beat Season 2 Episode 8: Identity Crisis

Dwight and Whitehead are called to a local bank, where a man has taken hostages, claiming he was the victim of a scam. Dwight is committed to making things right for the man, but in doing so discovers the scam can go far beyond what we expected. Tony breaks up with Paula Ann and Dwight has to pick up the pieces.

But Dwight can get a victory over Memphis in a state of mind, especially when he takes the stage in his favorite place to perform a legendary song or two. BEAT MEMPHIS DJ Qualls co-stars as Davey Sutton, a uniformed policeman who considers himself a disciple of Dwight. Also starring are Celia Weston (Junebug) and the effervescent mother of Dwight, Sam Hennings (Saving Grace) and Charlie White, also known as Whitehead, seasoned with Dwight, the partner of hypertension, Leonard Earl Howze (Barbershop) and USD Reginald a fellow detective struggling to survive with two teenage daughters, and Abraham Benrubi (ER) as Sgt. JC Lightfoot, an officer who uses the Chickasaw tribal wisdom in his police work.

MEMPHIS BEAT is executive produced by George Clooney, Heslov, Garcia, Hart, John Fortenberry (Always Sunny in Philadelphia) and Scott Kaufer (Boston Legal). Sean Whitesell Abby Photos (House MD) and Smokehouse 'Wolf-Weiss are co-executive producers. The pilot was directed and executive-produced by Emmy nominated Clark Johnson (The Shield). Hart and Garcia are husband and wife team. Hart is also an actor.
